A little about my process..
Suzanne’s paintings are a visual journal of thoughts and paint. She works on, and completes, several pieces simultaneously. The works are a record of that time span. She is interested in depicting human beauty, flaws, and vulnerabilities, as well as the beauty, flaws, and vulnerabilities of the medium (paint, ink, and china marker).
I paint like a fisherman. I play with paint and the thoughts of the day and respond to that visual record the next day. I enjoy the process as much as the completed piece.

I used to paint like a fisherman, throwing out a net and seeing what came in. I sometimes long for the early paintings – for the dreamy making of them (Jake Berthot – painter)
